Q: How long does flooring installation take?
A: Depends on scope and material. Single room luxury vinyl might take 1-2 days. Whole-home hardwood installation typically takes 3-7 days. Refinishing existing hardwood takes 3-5 days including drying time.
Q: Can you match existing hardwood flooring?
A: Often yes. We source matching species and can custom-stain to blend new with old. Sometimes blending works better than exact matching for a cohesive look.
Q: Do I need to move out during flooring installation?
A: Not usually. We work room by room when possible. Hardwood refinishing requires staying off floors during drying (typically 24-48 hours per coat).
Q: What’s the most durable flooring for dogs and kids?
A: Luxury vinyl plank is extremely durable, waterproof, and scratch-resistant. Tile is also excellent. Hardwood can work with proper sealant and maintenance.
Q: Can you install heated floors?
A: Yes. We install radiant heating systems under tile and some other flooring types, particularly in bathrooms.
Q: How much does flooring cost?
A: Varies widely by material, room size, and preparation needed. Luxury vinyl: $3-8/sq ft installed. Tile: $5-15/sq ft installed. Hardwood: $8-20/sq ft installed. We provide detailed estimates.
